Dell Studio Xps 8100 Driver For Mac
Joel wrote: Hrm - I take it back. The Dell is slightly overpriced, too, I guess, although it does have a warranty (for all that's worth to someone who can do their own repairs). You can do even better than that if you shop around more. I am just receiving parts today for a new Cad/Cam workstation. 'Joel' wrote in message news:d8nfo59dj7s69nm5j712396h98gsrpf560@4ax.com. I was aware that you didn't bash the Dell.

In the 'old days' I used to put my own machines together. Lots of fiddling around and no tech support, but the end result was good. Then it was suggested to me to try a Dell speced out my way. Since they have always worked, and I didn't have to invest any time, and they are factory warranted I go that way now. In fact, my four and half year old POS Pentium 4 Dell has been running like a charm, and even outperforms dual core MBP's. It refuses to give me an excuse to buy something new. My previous Dell was four years old when I gave it away to a friend, and it has run flawlessly for eight and a half years.
John Slade 26/2/2010, 16:22 น. Typically every computer you buy from a big company will be overpriced, some more than others.
For those who build their own, they can get better components at about the same price or lower. I find that Apple puts a premium on the way their computers look on the outside because they are mostly the same components as other PCs inside.
Another trick Apple likes to use is the 'British speaker' in commercials. Some advertisers did some research and found out that people seem to trust a voice with a British accent rather than an American accent. It makes people think the product is more sophisticated. I remember some Mac user telling me that Macs are 'engineered' rather than built like other computers. I laughed at him.
One guy told me that Macs are more 'elegant' than PCs. Many people who are snooty seem to think Macs are something special when they're not. They want to be different by buying a Mac. Meanwhile people are making fun of them. John John Kid Carson 26/2/2010, 18:46 น.

17.3' Full HD LED Backlit display. Core 2 Duo @ 2.53Ghz, 6GB 1066 RAM, 500GB 7200RPM HDD (2 hard drive bays, and SATA RAID), Nvidia GTX260 video adapter with 1GB GDDR3. ESATA, Backlit Keyboard with numeric keypad. Photo card reader, 2Mp webcam, EAX 4.0 sounds with Altec Lansing speakers, and Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit. $999 at Best Buy. Looking at a Macbook Pro, it seems I get an ever so slightly faster Core 2 Duo at 2.8, less RAM at 4GB, a slower Hard drive at 5400RPM, with no capacity for an additional disk or RAID, backlit keyboard but no numeric keypad, a really crappy Nvidia 9400M and a 9600m with half the memory, and oddly, dual GPU's but no SLI support, is there a card reader in this thing? Apple doesn't mention it, so I would suspect no.

So in summary, I can get all this extra SUCK with the Macbook Pro 17' at two and a half times the price. $2499.00 Where do I sign up? Jerryeveretts 1/3/2010, 9:47 น.
