I use a 500GB internal drive for all my music videos so they are always available but just change the external drive based on what I want to view stored by genre. I can view almost any video format or iso bluray or DVD and either use the player for audio decoding or send raw data for the AV receiver to decode. All for under $100, brilliant. I have never been more satisfied with a product delivering what it claims to deliver, especially at that price. I find this helpful but maybe someone can point me in the right direction. I have no real need for video streaming, but audio as i play a lot of music while entertaining. I purchased a nice little streaming box from Sony and quickly returned it, not because it didnt work as advertised, but simply because i could not control it/see the interface from my laptop.
The device has a smartphone app but i have no interest in smartphones though i do have to use laptop pcs. Can anyone please direct me to a simple way to transmit audio wirelessly from laptop to stereo amp just so i can get the RCA cable off the floor? I have looked at solutions from Aperion and Audioengine and will prob.
End up with the latter. Just feel that there must be a cheaper solution. That's right. I have to fret over $150.
